Amanda Tether

Tattoo Artist

About me and my background

Amanda Tether, 27. I was born in NYC, but grew up in Italy and France, currently working in Berlin, Germany.
When I was fifteen, I began to develop my own graphic style based on optical art and geometry. At the age of eighteen, I passed a summer program at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), and then I decided to study art. When I came back to Europe, I moved to Switzerland and studied graphic design at l’École Cantonale d’Art de Lausanne (ÉCAL). Overall, I've been studying graphic design for seven years, but I never wanted to become just a graphic designer. I just needed tools and knowledge to use them in my artworks and tattoos. I have mastered the creation of sketches in computer programs, so that I can create much more complex drawings much faster.
After the end of my education, I decided to move to Paris, had some clients for tattooing there, and then finally settled in Berlin, where I opened my own studio under my name. I learned to tattoo from my own experience, so I have many tattoos on my body. I make both small and big tattoos in my own style. You are always welcomed to browse my works before contacting me!

Core Values

Illustration

Each tattoo master has his/her own principles in work and a unique style. Please read the information below carefully before making an appointment with me:

All my works are unique. This means I create one sketch only for one person, no repeats. The exceptions are paired tattoos for brothers, sisters, husband and wife, and so on.
I don't make tattoos according to someone else's sketch. Even if you've drawn it yourself.
I don’t make copies of other artists' tattoos and I can’t do it the same way someone does.
I reserve the right to refuse the client for my own reasons - for example, if we do not coincide in what we consider beautiful.
I don't make tattoos on some parts of the body, in particular, on the feet and in intimate zones.
As a master, I determine the number of sessions that will be needed to complete a tattoo. I also assign correction sessions that you definitely need to attend.
